Please be aware that The New Foscote Hospital is not treating any COVID-19 patients.
We are working in partnership with NHS England and the local Oxfordshire system to provide much needed, non-elective surgeries that cannot at present be carried out in NHS hospitals due to COVID-19. Many more of our staff have been deployed out to other NHS facilities to provide extra clinical skills to the front line. We are incredibly proud of them and the extraordinary work they are doing.
Our Hospital is now open for face-to-face appointments. Telephone consultations are also available with some Consultants – please call us on 01295 252 281 for more information.
As per national guidance, we will soon be resuming the more time-sensitive private activity. If you have a procedure booked with us, you will be required to purchase a COVID-19 test which we will carry out for you. COVID tests are to be carried out 72 hours before your scheduled procedure, subject to you adhering to the isolation guidelines:
- For a general anaesthetic procedure, you will need to self-isolate 14 days before the scheduled procedure date
- For a local anaesthetic procedure, you will need to self-isolate 7 days before the scheduled procedure date
The New Foscote Hospital has a proven track record on infection prevention and control which includes the cleanliness of our hospital, patient rooms and diagnostic facilities. Our hospital has strict infection control protocols in place in order to protect healthcare workers, patients and visitors to help minimise the risk of any infection, including COVID-19.
