The New Foscote Hospital accepts both GP and self referrals, using medical insurance, or direct payment.
Working together, for the benefit of patients
GP Referrals
GPs can refer privately insured, or self pay patients to The New Foscote Hospital, or to any of our consultants. Good communication is assured, along with fine care for your patient.
Our team appreciate that whilst patients can research their own choice, they are often reliant on you for suggestions.
They will be well cared for, at a hospital with a fine safety record and facilities. MRI, ultrasound, x-ray and endoscopy are on site, our consultant team is exceptional.

Self Referrals
Any privately insured, or self pay patient can self refer to The New Foscote Hospital. You can refer to a specific consultant, or contact the hospital to find the most appropriate clinician for your needs.
You will be welcome to read a little more about them, in our consultants section. Representing a team of over 50 experienced specialists, who choose to work at our hospital.
They appreciate the facilities we offer patients, up to date, of the highest quality and designed to provide effective treatment.
Medical imaging and testing are available on site, bringing prompt diagnosis and treatment. Our physiotherapy unit, or other therapists can provide ongoing support.
Returning you to good health is the objective and we appreciate the part communication can play. You are welcome to contact us to ask any questions you wish.

NHS Referrals
The New Foscote Hospital accepts NHS referrals for certain conditions, as part of the NHS e-Referral service. They include:
General surgery
- Repair of femoral hernia
- Repair of inguinal hernia
- Repair of umbilical hernia
Orthopaedics
- Arthroscopy of the knee
- Trigger finger treatment
- Carpal tunnel release
- Dupuytren’s contracture surgery
- Ganglion removal
- Hand and wrist surgery
- Hip surgery
- Hip replacement
- Knee surgery
- Knee replacement
NHS patients who have been referred for a relevant procedure can select The New Foscote Hospital for their treatment, when they log in to the NHS e-Referral website.
Exclusions from our NHS e-Referral provision
Under our contract with the NHS we are, unfortunately, unable to accept the following patients for NHS e-Referrals::
- A patient with incapacitating disease which is a constant threat to life.
- A patient who has an unstable mental condition and is receiving psychiatric treatment.
- A patient who is grossly obese, with a Body Mass Index of greater than 40.
- Patients under 18-years-of-age for surgery.
