Welcome aboard Mr Gurpal Toor!
The New Foscote Hospital is delighted to welcome our latest Ophthalmic Surgeon, Mr Gurpal Toor, to the Foscote team. Mr Gurpal Toor is a great addition to our range of consultants who practice at The New Foscote Hospital and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our ophthalmic team.
Mr Gurpal Toor graduated from Guys Kings & St Thomas’ Medical School where he underwent extensive medical training before training in Ophthalmology at St James’ Hospital in Leeds and at The Bristol Eye Hospital.
Gurpal then extended his vocation by undertaking a Glaucoma Fellowship between The Western Eye Hospital (Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London) and The Hillingdon Hospital (Uxbridge). His expertise lies in Glaucoma, Refractive Cataract and Anterior Segment Surgery.
Gurpal’s clinical and research interests include non-penetrating and micro-invasive glaucoma treatment, Trans-scleral and endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation, Combined cataract and glaucoma surgery, and Spectacle independence following cataract surgery (including multifocal lens implantation, toric IOLs and incisional refractive surgery).
Outside of work, Gurpal likes to cycle and explore the beautiful surroundings of his new home and other parts of the country.
