Women’s Health Event with Mr Jonathan Nicholls
The New Foscote Hospital is delighted to bring you our latest Women’s Health Event, hosted by Consultant Gynaecologist, Mr Jonathan Nicholls.
Mr Jonathan Nicholls will be tackling the hotly debated topic of using mesh for gynaecological conditions. In particular, he will be discussing safe alternatives to treating incontinence, prolapse and other pelvic floor issues.
There have been concerns over the use of mesh for conditions such as hernias which has brought to light the question of safety when it comes to mesh implants. Victoria Derbyshire has been prominent in vocalising these issues with a BBC news show that highlighted the troubles over 170,000 patients had when using mesh implants.
Mr Jonathan Nicholls will be talking about safer mesh alternatives for prolapse, incontinence and other pelvic floor issues including keyhole surgery.
Mrs Jane Newman will also be on hand to talk about the pelvic floor. Mrs Jane Newman is a specialist physiotherapist with over 30 years of experience. Jane’s main interests are problems in the pelvis including pelvic pain and incontinence. She has examined medical and physiotherapy students in this area as well as patient and lay groups for many years.
If you attend our women’s health event you will be eligible for a FREE 20-minute consultation with Mr Jonathan Nicholls, relating to the problems discussed at the event.
