What to Expect Before, During, and After Surgery
Before Surgery
You’ll have a one-to-one consultation with one of our expert knee surgeons. They’ll assess your condition, answer your questions, and guide you through your personalised treatment plan. We’ll also arrange any required scans or pre-operative tests on-site for your convenience.
During Surgery
Your procedure will take place in one of our fully equipped operating theatres. Most knee replacements are performed under spinal or general anaesthetic and take 1–2 hours. You’ll be in the hands of an experienced surgical team using the latest techniques and implants.
After Surgery
Recovery begins right away. Our physiotherapy team will help you start moving safely, usually within 24 hours of your operation. Most patients stay in hospital for 2–3 nights before continuing their recovery at home with ongoing support.
