If you don’t have private health insurance, you can still access private hospital treatment through self-pay. Our treatment costs for self-paying patients are transparent and covered by a one-off payment – and are more affordable than you might think. We know it’s useful to have a guide on pricing, so you can have a look at our list of guide prices in the first instance. However because our consultants will tailor the treatment they recommend to the specific self-pay patient’s needs, please call us on 01295 220425 to get a bespoke quote.

Self-paying for your own treatment

It is a common assumption that people feel they only have two choices when it comes to hospital treatment… going through the NHS or having private medical insurance. At The Foscote Private Hospital, we enable you to go private and pay for treatment yourself.

Currently in the NHS many operations are no longer available or are restricted with long delays.

At The Foscote Private Hospital we can offer a solution to being on a long waiting list. By choosing to pay for your own treatment you can start getting better before you get too much worse.

You do not have to be insured to come to The Foscote Private Hospital, in fact many of our patients choose to pay for their own treatment. Having a GP referral is helpful but not always a necessity, so call The Foscote Private Hospital to find out if we are able to offer you an appointment for any treatment that is self-funded.

We aim to provide competitive pricing and offer you treatments at a time to suit you with your own choice of consultant.

Referral pathway to Self-paying / Fast treatment

  • Find out the cost of the treatment – we offer transparent fixed prices so you can be confident there will be no unexpected bills. Call the Finance Office at The Foscote Private Hospital.
  • A referral letter from your GP is not always necessary as you can self-refer and book an appointment directly with The Foscote Private Hospital.
  • Seeing the consultant is the next step, they will decide what tests are needed. When your individual treatment is agreed we will let you know how much your treatment will cost before going ahead.
  • Your treatment, either simple outpatient procedure or inpatient surgery can be arranged at a time to suit you.
  • You can pay for your treatment by cash, cheque, credit or debit card.
