The New Foscote Hospital, Banbury, is rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC is the independent body which monitors, inspects and regulates all NHS and private hospitals in England. Their aim is to ensure that all hospitals meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. CQC inspection findings are published in regular reports, which include a hospital rating, to help patients to choose suitable care.
The 5 key questions which they ask of all hospitals are:
- Are they safe?
- Are they effective?
- Are they caring?
- Are they responsive to people’s needs?
- Are they well-led?
