Dr Aamir Sajjad, is a highly regarded, experienced gastroenterologist, based in Coventry. He is seeing private patients at:

Dr Sajjad has extensive experience in Gastroenterology, spanning over 25 years and is on specialist register of GMC. He has accreditations in upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and for bowel cancer screening colonoscopy. He is competent in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
He has special interest and experience in management of functional bowel disorders like IBS, Inflammatory bowel disease, reflux disease, and clinical nutrition.
Dr Sajjad completed his medical degree at Dow Medical College, University of Karachi in Pakistan, became Member of the Royal College of Physician UK in 1992 and further honed his skills in Australia, achieving accreditation in GI Endoscopy by Australian Conjoint Committee for recognition of in GI endoscopy in 1999. During his training he gained expertise at several teaching hospitals including Royal Brisbane Hospital in Australia and University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire in UK. He was then awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians UK, American College of Gastroenterology and the European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Dr Sajjad worked as an Associate Specialist in Gastroenterology in University Hospital of Coventry & Warwickshire from 2001 to 2011, he then progressed to the post of Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at the Friarage Hospital Northampton, moving to Kettering General Hospital in 2013. During his consultant job in Kettering, he had roles clinical nutrition and IBD lead and gastroenterology tutor of medical students. He took retirement from his full-time job in 2024 and is now in private practice also doing part time endoscopy work including bowel cancer screening at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.
Alongside his clinical work Dr Sajjad did research on Non-Alcoholic Fatty liver disease that was published in the British Journal of Gastroenterology and presented in UK and American gastroenterology conferences. He also led a European multi-centre study from 2008 to 2011 focused on the long-term safety of treatment of IBD patients with Infliximab and immune modulators
