Mr Pampiglione is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon with a specialist interest in the diagnosis and management of conditions affecting the colon, rectum and anus. He also has extensive experience in the management of abdominal wall and groin hernias, including minimally invasive (keyhole) surgical techniques.
Mr Pampiglione qualified in medicine from the University of Nottingham in 2012 before completing higher surgical training in central London. During his specialist training at University College London Hospitals, he developed expertise in the advanced surgical management of complex colorectal and proctological conditions.
He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2023 and subsequently joined the Specialist Register. In 2024, he was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon in the Oxford area.
Mr Pampiglione treats patients with emergency and long-term colorectal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease and complications relating to stomas. He also has a particular interest in the management of proctological conditions, including haemorrhoids, anal fistulae, anal fissures and pilonidal disease.
Mr Pampiglione is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care and ensuring every patient has the time and attention they deserve. He is known for his approachable and compassionate manner, particularly when treating conditions that can be difficult or sensitive to discuss.
Teaching and Research
Mr Pampiglione has an ongoing academic interest, with publications in peer-reviewed journals, contributions to leading medical textbooks, and presentations at international conferences. His research focuses on surgical innovation and the use of novel technologies to improve patient care. His specialist clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease and anal fistulae.
