If you don’t have private health insurance you can choose to self-pay for your treatment at The New Foscote Hospital. You might choose to do this because the treatment you need isn’t available through the NHS or there may be a long waiting list for the procedure you need. In many cases you can also self-refer, ie you don’t need a referral from your GP.
Our self-pay prices are highly competitive, fixed-price all-inclusive packages, with the exclusion of your initial consultation fee and diagnostics and outpatient consultations. We aim to ensure our pricing is transparent at all times so there are no surprises and tailored quotes are available on request.
Our fixed price packages include:
- Routine pre-operative investigations
- Surgeon’s fees
- Anaesthetist’s fee
- Accommodation in one of our comfortable en-suite private bedrooms
- Care from our highly qualified and experienced nursing staff
- Drugs and dressings
- Operating theatre fees
- Prosthesis (if required)
- Inpatient physiotherapy
Not included in the price are:
- Initial consultation and diagnostics – this will be in the region of £150-£250
- Outpatient consultations
Fixed prices are confirmed following your first consultation, which is not included in the package. The cost of your first consultation will be between £150-250. Once you have received this first consultation with one of our highly experienced consultants and they are able to understand fully what will be required for your individual case, we will be able to confirm a fixed price for your procedure.
We make every effort to ensure that a fixed price remains fixed. Very occasionally a price may need to be adjusted following the results of pre-operative investigations.

Any procedure prices cannot be confirmed via a quotation until after you have attended your initial consultation, however guide prices may be available.
Payment for your initial consultation with a consultant is required in full before the consultation date.
Payment for your fixed price procedure is required in full before the date of your procedure.
Payments can be made over the phone prior to your appointment or at reception upon your visit.
You can pay using the following methods:

- bank transfer
A privacy room is available at the hospital for making large or sensitive payments.
*up to a maximum of £8,000* in compliance with The Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017.
