Mr Siddiqi is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on pelvic and hip reconstruction surgery. He specializes in primary hip joint replacement and has a special interest in complex revision procedures for infection and failure due to other causes of previous hip replacement surgery. He is also an experienced musculoskeletal oncologist and specialises in treating benign and malignant tumours of bone and soft tissues.
He qualified in medicine from the University of Karachi in Pakistan in 2006, and completed orthopaedic training at the famous Aga Khan University Hospital and Liqauat National Hospital and Medical College in Pakistan. He attained Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in 2012 and was appointed consultant and assistant professor in 2014 at the Liaquat National Hospitals and Medical College. He is quadruple fellowship trained in trauma, limb reconstruction, lower limb joint reconstruction and joint replacement as well as musculoskeletal oncology from centres of excellence globally.
Mr. Siddiqi moved to UK in 2019 and attained his FRCS and FRCS in (Tr and Orthopaedics) and joined the specialist register in 2023. He was awarded the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society fellowship to the British Orthopaedic Association future leader’s programme.
He practices at The New Foscote Hospital in Banbury and The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital, Alesbury as well as serving as a consultant surgeon at the acclaimed Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, one of the leading centres of excellence in advanced orthopaedic surgery.
Research and Teaching
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Siddiqi teaches globally on joint replacement and orthopaedic oncology courses. He is a member of the education committee of the International Society of Limb Salvage surgery and one of the leads in pioneering an education program for surgeons from the lower and middle income countries (LMIC). He teaches on AO Trauma UK courses, and a number of FRCS preparation courses including the famous JBJS Miller Review Course for the last 5 years. He serves as associate editor of the 3rd best selling textbook in Orthopaedics (Hoppenfeld Surgical Exposures in Orthopaedics 7th Edition).
His research interests include:
· Mixed Reality, 3D printing and Artificial Intelligence in Precision guided Orthopaedic Surgery
· Metastatic Bone Disease
Mr Siddiqi’s academic work has helped educate surgeons globally in complex orthopaedic procedures and he has worked with regional and national bodies to develop training programs for sustainable change.
