Mr Naoum qualified in medicine in 1974 and took an interest in gynaecology from an early stage. He entered the GMCs specialist register for obstetrics and gynaecology in 1997, although continued to expand his knowledge.
A master’s degree from University College London in 1999 preceded his appointment as a consultant gynaecologist in Oxfordshire. A region he continues to support, through his work at The New Foscote Hospital.
The use of ultrasound for diagnosis and the management of pain, or abnormal bleeding from the genital tract are specialist areas for Mr Naoum. He also regularly treats premenstrual syndrome, menorrhagia, or endometriosis.
Procedures he provides include anterior and posterior vaginal repair, laparoscopy and tubal reversal of sterilisation, hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation with novasure hysterectomy and sacrospinous fixation.
Alongside his knowledge and skills, Mr Naoum’s patients appreciate the individual care he offers them. A key part of recovery and returning to good health.
Research & Teaching
Mr Naoum has wide experience in obstetrics and gynaecology and has lectured on specialist topics internationally. Particular interests include emergency gynaecology and early pregnancy, along with the management of incidental ovarian cysts.
