Mr McCulloch is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on hip and knee reconstruction, including complex revision procedures and the treatment of periprosthetic joint infections.
He qualified in medicine from the University of Birmingham in 2009, demonstrating a natural skill for surgery early in his career. His surgical training included the prestigious Oswestry and Oxford orthopaedic rotations, followed by advanced fellowships at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in Middlesex and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. He was also awarded the British Orthopaedic Association Travelling Fellowship, further enhancing his expertise in complex joint reconstruction.
Mr McCulloch joined the GMC Specialist Register for Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery in 2020. He now practices at The New Foscote Hospital in Banbury and The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital, as well as serving as a Consultant at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, the UK’s leading centre for complex orthopaedic care.
Research & Teaching
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr McCulloch holds a Master’s in Medical Education and is actively involved in training future orthopaedic surgeons. He teaches on FRCS exam preparation courses, serves as an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor, and sits on the national orthopaedic specialty advisory committee.
