Mr Chris Lewis graduated from Manchester University in 1997.
He trained mainly in the North West but spent a year of early surgical training in Australia and undertook a Fellowship in Emergency and Trauma surgery as a senior trainee in New Zealand.
He is interested in all aspects of upper gastro-intestinal disease, especially gastro-oesophageal reflux and oesophageal dysmotility, surgery for which is predominantly performed laparoscopically (keyhole surgery). Mr Lewis has a keen interest in abdominal wall hernias, especially when due to previous surgery (incisional).
Research & Teaching
Mr Lewis enjoys teaching and surgical training, and is active in both local and regional training programmes as well as having an interest in research and academic surgery.
